B.S. Environmental Science, Botany/Plant Pathology, 2000, Lyman Briggs College at Michigan State University
My research interests include GIS, remote-sensing applications, fire ecology, and plant ecology. I am currently determining whether remotely-sensed imagery (Landsat) can be used to accurately monitor fire severity (ecological change) resulting from wildfires and prescribed burning within the Apalachicola National Forest, Osceola National Forest, and Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge.
Personal Interests:
I enjoy being outdoors in activities such as hiking, mountain biking, and camping. I also spend time reading and working in my vegetable garden.
