Research Interests:
My research interests include wildlife ecology, restoration ecology, fire ecology and plant community ecology. Long-term research on using various forest management strategies and periodic fire to restore functioning shortleaf pine-bluestem and longleaf pine-wiregrass communities (both plant and animal) is my greatest interest. Wildlife species of focal interest include; red-cockaded woodpecker, Northern bobwhite, other pine-grassland songbirds, small mammals, elk and white-tailed deer.

Personal Interests:

I enjoy outdoor photography, hunting, fishing, hiking and camping with my family. I also enjoy being actively involved with my family in church related activities. Other hobbies include woodworking and using native plants in landscaping.
